Delhi has recorded a total of 16,699 fresh cases, 112 deaths in 24 hours. The state’s positivity rate presently stands at an all-time high of 20.22%.
Even though the number of cases has decreased, the positivity rate goes has soared. Delhi presently has 54,309 active cases as of April 15.
On Thursday, there have been just 82,000 tests. The testing figure was above 1 lakh every day over the past few days.

Amid the sharp spike in the Capital’s Covid-19 tally, chief minister Arvind Kejriwal announced a weekend curfew will be imposed in Delhi.
Those employed in essential services will be issued passes, all gyms, malls and auditoriums will be closed, Kejriwal said while addressing an emergency press briefing. Dining is restaurants is not allowed and only home delivery of food will be available, the chief minister added.
Breaking all records, India registered its biggest-ever single day spike with 200,739 fresh cases. With this, India’s Covid tally has shot up to 14,074,564 cases, according to MoHFW.
