Mamta didi to call for joint rally in January along with SharadPawar, Arvind Kejriwal and MK Stalin

As per sources, it is expected that West Bengal CM Mamta Banerjee will hold a joint rally in Kolkata in January, which is similar to the ‘United India’ public meeting which was organised ahead of 2019 Lok Sabha elections against Modi government.

Basically, this joint rally is working to get all the anti-Bharatiya Janata Party leaders to halt BJP’s every action which they think, is not good for country’s health. According to a report by The Indian Express, Banerjee is expected to invite Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) chief Sharad Pawar, Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK) leader MK Stalin and Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, among others, for the rally.

“Centre is brazenly interfering with State Govt functioning by transferring police officers. My gratitude to @bhupeshbaghel (Chhattisgarh CM BhupeshBaghel) @ArvindKejriwal, @capt_amarinder (Punjab CM Capt. Amarinder Singh), ashokgehlot51 (Rajasthan CM Ashok Gehlot) & mkstalin for showing solidarity to people of Bengal & reaffirming their commitment to federalism. Thank you!” Banerjee said in a tweet.

Mamata Banerjee made frantic efforts to placate SuvenduAdhikari, who rebelled over the growing importance of her nephew Abhishek Banerjee in the TMC. Suvendu and nine other sitting MLAs joined the BJP last week.Interestingly, what is generally overlooked in political discussions is that the TMC of Mamata Banerjee too has seen a significant growth in elections since 2009. The only difference is that the BJP’s growth rate has been higher.

On Friday, the Trinamool government moved the Supreme Court over the MHA’s transfer of the three IPS officers over attack on J P Nadda’s convoy. The MHA had summoned the three officers – Rajeev Mishra (ADG, South Bengal); BholaNath Pandey (SP, Diamond Harbour) and Praveen Kumar Tripathi (DIG, Presidency Range) over lapses in security arrangement to BJP chief J P Nadda during his visit to Bengal. The home ministry has already issued transfer letters to the three officers, asking them to join their Central postings at the earliest.

The ruling Trinamool government has maintained that ‘Under Article 312 of Constitution, the Centre may ask for names of officers to be sent on deputation, then it is upto the state to release them or not’.
